I was so excited when my Core Power Fit-Kit was delivered last week!! I couldn’t wait to tear into it and see what was inside and I will say it did not disappoint!!
My Fit Kit included a Core Power sweat towel, CamelBak sports bottle, yoga mat (with carrying case), balance ball (with pump and instructional DVD), a Core Power gym bag and samples of their protein shakes!
The shakes I received were chocolate, banana and vanilla. I tried the chocolate one first and I seriously loved it! I even gave my mom a sip and she pretended like she wasn’t going to give it back! It tasted just like chocolate milk! It was very smooth and creamy, with no chalky aftertaste, which often turns me off to protein drinks.
The next day I couldn’t wait to finish my workout so that I could try the banana one! I never heard of a banana protein drink before, but it seemed like a good idea to me. It was just as good!! I think next time I want to buy one of each and mix them together to make a chocolate covered banana one. :) I’m thinking it will be great for my prerace shake before the Tinker Bell 10k and half in just under a week!!!
I did not personally try the vanilla since I let my mom have that one, she earned it, but she said it was really good and that she chugged it straight down after her workout at the gym!
They each contain 26g of protein, which is great for those of us who struggle to get enough in through meals alone. They also carry light versions in both chocolate and strawberry banana if your looking for something with less calories, and those have 20g of protein in them.
If you want to know all the in depth “sciencey” stuff you can get it on their website, since I really can’t say it any better.
If you are wondering where you can buy Core Power you can check there website here. When I looked up my area it is at most major gas stations and grocery stores in the area, or you can also order it on Amazon.com as well. I highly recommend you give it try!
Now for the moment you have been waiting for . . . the giveaway!! Core Power will be sending one of my readers a fit kit, just like mine!! (Note shake flavors of the winners kit may vary).

DeleteI'm afraid that I DON'T get enough protein! I need to be better about that!
ReplyDeleteIt can be really hard! If I don't have a shake or bar I usually don't get enough.
DeleteI have been drinking protein smoothies that I make in the morning.
ReplyDeleteI love a good smoothie! It a quick and easy breakfast
DeleteI am always looking to get more protein!
ReplyDeleteMe too! My favorites get boring after awhile. I can only so many chicken breast or eggs.
DeleteI cook eggs a lot and I have been making protein shakes but I know I could still incorporate more protein in my diet!
ReplyDeleteI love a good protein shake, but I'm a little iffy on eggs. Sometimes I love them, sometimes I don't.
DeleteI have actually tried this drink before...great post-race recovery and yummy too!
ReplyDeleteThey really are yummy! I've tried some other brands before that I just didn't care for.
DeleteThey all sound REALLY good. I could use a good post race recovery drink. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Julie! There are few things I like better after a run then a cold chocolate protein shake.
Deletei always need to have more protein than carbs. right now im following the P90x3 nutrition guide so thats helping alot!!
ReplyDeleteI did Insanity last year and it was very helpful to follow the guide!
DeleteHonestly, I know I'm not getting enough. My mom disliked meat, so I never really developed a taste for it. Now I try with protein supplements, nuts & legumes, dairy, etc. But I need to get better at eating eggs or something :)
ReplyDeleteIf you take meat out it makes it even harder! I found to get enough protein I had to have 2-3 eggs in the morning or I was playing catch up all day!
DeleteI log my food on myfitnesspal.com
ReplyDeleteI did that for awhile, but I hate logging/ counting my food. Especially when it tells me I am done for the day and I'm starving.
DeleteI'm a vegetarian, so my protein tends to come from beans, legumes, nuts, etc. YUM!
ReplyDeleteI love nuts! I've considered being a vegetarian, but I'm too picky of an eater. I only like select veggies, some beans, and very few legumes. Plus I need variety because I get board with food.
DeleteI'm a huge fan of core power so I drink one of their shakes for breakfast or after a long run!
ReplyDeleteAren't they so good? They taste much better then the others I have tried in the past.
DeleteI usually drink protein shakes for most of my protein! So I would love to try theses.
ReplyDeleteI love that they are premixed too! You literally just have to grab them out of the fridge and go!
DeleteWith protein shakes, but I would love to try these!
ReplyDeleteThey are quite tasty so I'm sure you would enjoy them! Good luck!
DeleteI'm a fan of tuna or a protein shake! Core Power is actually one of the tastiest brands out there IMO!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It will definitely become a part of my routine.
DeleteProtein shakes, fish, eggs, and hopefully I can say this product:)
ReplyDeleteHonestly I don't know if I'm eating enough protein. I have protein with lunch and dinner every day so I'm guessing it's enough.
ReplyDeleteI drink Odwalla protein drinks if I am feeling like I need more protein. Otherwise I try to make sure my meals are all balanced and have as much protein as possible
ReplyDeleteI prefer to get my protein from whole foods as well, but I just can't seem to get enough without supplementing it with shakes or bars.
DeleteI eat eggs and protein shakes.
ReplyDeleteI do eggs and oatmeal for breakfast. But I have heard great things about these and would love to try them
ReplyDeleteThey are so good! I am definitely stalking up!
DeleteEggs and greek yogurt!
ReplyDeleteI love Greek yogurt, but I have a texture issue with it so I always have to add granola, huts, or something else crunchy.
DeleteI include healthy proteins in every meal--eggs, cheese, nuts, almond butter, peanut butter, chicken.
ReplyDeleteThose are all favorites of mine as well!
